Haha...James and I get a room in Fowler. Those two guys who got arrested for pot? That one...as soon as we air it out. And since James won't be there much...mwahahaha.
No offense to anyone, but I think this is funny.

| | tired | ] | God I love the internet. Didn't even have dial-up over break, was broken. Already made five levels in WoW. I love being back, except for the whole going to class thing. I do *have* classes, though, which is a good thing. My adviser was in Italy all break. Classes shouldn't be too bad this semester, and I think there is someone I know in every one, which helps. Diff. Eq. is not going to be fun, though, and my Statics II prof has an accent, so I'll have to pay attention. Grrr. Courtney's in two of my classes. Yay!! I have a U-pass. Freedom is good. We waited in line for an hour and fifteen minutes, then right as we got up to the front, some guy walks in and asks the CTA people if he could go first because he had class. Idiot. As if the rest of us didn't. Then, when they turned him down, he found an acquaintance to talk to, in front of us, so he could sort of slip into the line inconspicuously. Eliza handled it better than I would have, merely pointing out the we had been waiting for a long time, and that she sincerely hoped he wasn't going to try to stay in line. Very amusing. Well, since he didn't get away with it... I posted, Celeste. Happy? :-P |

| | homicidal | ] | I have decided that, if it can be proven the victims were being moronic at the time, murder should be allowed under special circumstances. Last night, at around six in the morning, random weird people were being very loud, in the hallway, no less. I promptly told them to "shut the fuck up". They barely heard me, except for one guy who turned around and began mocking me, going "Shhhh, Shhhh, Shhhh!" in my face.
Knives, Death, Maiming.
I asked him if he really wanted to die. His companion, either marginally less stupid, or more sober, or he just saw the look on my face, attempted to restrain him, probably saving his life. Or at least his face. Since the noise kind of tapered off, I locked the door and tried to go back to sleep. It took me two and a half hours. I kept having these scenarios run through my head: "Well, if I had grabbed him by his horrible haircut and slammed his head into the wall, would his friends be mad enough to attack? What if I just chopped him in the throat..." Fun, yes. Not good for sleep.
I discovered this morning he lives on my floor. Or at least someone who was there does. I kind of hope to see them again... |

Playing around online recently I came across a quaint little ASCII art RPG. For those of you who don't care, this means it's created out of symbols you can type from a keyboard. It's called ADOM, for Ancient Domain of Mystery...or Magic...or something. You play the game as an @ sign, wandering around shooting dashes and asterisks at monsters represented by letters (a green "g" for goblins, "Z" for zombies, etc.). Much fun. The type of game that belongs with the others of its type on addictinggames.com or something.
Hah.
This game is huge. Some of the tiny little "O"s are caverns that go down 50 levels or more. And more of them crop up as the game progresses. Full of loot and monsters. I finally got another wish, so I have seven-league boots, in addition to my sword of sharpness and red dragon scale mail. I'm a sorcerer who can stab people.
Bwahahaha.
Yes, I realize I'm being incredibly nerdy, but it's so much fun! |

| | aggravated | ] | I lent someone a game nearly a week and a half ago, and only today did I notice I have the cd sitting in one of my disk drives. Oops.
Courtney and I argued for nearly half an hour about whether or not she had said "sincere" or "insincere" until I decided this was stupid and refused to argue anymore, instead complimenting and admiring her whenever she tried to bring it up again. This only served to make her more angry. Can anyone explain this?
DAMN stupid paranoid IIT computer admin people. I want to download the stupid patch so I can play WoW again, and because they're afraid people will hog all their bandwidth hosting games, I am reduced to a download speed of 3 megs in 2 hours. Out of 54. *ominous grumbling* Sigh. |

Kit's first reaction when she saw me after Labor day was "Wow. Green hair." Monotone. Yawn. The sky's blue. She asks why, and I tell her. Then she comes up with "Green hair for Halloween? You should be Mold-Man!!" Yes, Kit. Because that would be enjoyable. |

It should also provide a place to rant, and/or memorialize all the little happenings that I'll want to remember later. First one: The day after I dyed my hair green, I was walking to class and I met Celeste, who promptly burst out laughing. Encouraging. Then she asks: "Did you do that on purpose?" On hearing my affirmative, she replies "Well, then it's cool." So what would she say if I got a piercing? "Did you run into a fence?" |
